BISHOP-MCCANN
An award-winning full-service event management company.
Problem
Bishop McCann an award-winning full-service event management company required additional leadership to support the newly hired president. I was hired to lead three specific initiatives to support company growth. Sales and strategic planning along with a sales capture system (CRM) and secure new office space for the local Minneapolis team.

Director of Sales
Director of Real Estate
Special Projects: CRM selection/implementation.
Action
Evaluated lead generation, how sales flow into the organization and are processed and handled. Created a sales process identifying key-stake holders and the sales strategy development.
The Results
I researched CRM systems comparing Sales Force to Power Objects, ultimately selecting Power Objects as the CRM system, and played a key role in the implementation.
Additionally, I hired a culture change strategist to conduct a 2-day culture change and strategic alignment workshop. Leading the organization to work and function as a team.
Final Project
Action
The Final project: identify and negotiate office space suitable for the local team currently working in an over-crowded co-working space.
The Results
Secured and negotiated office lease. Designed the space incorporating workplace strategy to support the client’s requirements including Focus work, collaborative, and social space.
Hired Contractor and project managed entire build-out of office space. Including FF&E. Completed project 1 month early and on budget.
The office resides in a timeless warehouse dating back to the early 20th century functioning as a John Deere Showroom. The rugged interior materials of extra-large wood trusses and brick give the appearance of extraordinary durability and strength. The interiors seek to respect the historic architecture and allow contemporary intervention, while achieving high energy performance. The sensitivity to context went further with transparent glazing on offices and expanded large south facing windows creating a dynamic quality that allows the space to change throughout the day and season to season. More static materials would not allow for this type of connection between the space and the city skyline. The overall interior palette of warm charcoals, grays, and muted greens and blues and are a visual continuity to the skyline. A raised café and lounge area with black and white delf tiles were created as an extension of the office to accommodate social requirements for the client.
